The Role of Spirit/Soul

Amazing and insightful therapeutic journeys can happen without even the mention of the spirit or soul.  However, if you are open to it, spirituality can be an ally to psychotherapy and cultivated within it.  I believe the ultimate goal of spiritual practice and therapy is essentially the same: self knowing on the deepest level.  With self knowing comes increased awareness, a mindful presence, the emergence of grace, intuition, wisdom, and a profound faith in the process.

I lived at a meditation center for over a decade and have been a serious practitioner for over 15 years.  One of my most interesting challenges has been learning how to live spiritually in practical every day life.  If you are practiced in meditative or non-ordinary states, or the cultivation of non-dual awareness, you may need some help integrating these experiences into your life in the normal world.

I hold an open, inclusive view regarding spirituality/religion.  If you are simply interested in different spiritual approaches, a spiritual life, have questions about your faith, maybe I can help.  Therapy can be a safe, welcome place to explore this, inquire, have lively discussions about it.
